Retired from Gulf Greyhound Park May 29, 1995
Our dear, sweet Andrew was diagnosed with bone cancer on January 2, 2003 and he lasted until April 16. He was such a good dog, even when he was sick he never complained. We miss him more than words can express.

Andrew's Racing Career
Mohican Andrew had a successful racing career at Harlingen Greyhound Track and at Gulf Greyhound Park in Texas. Twice he suffered broken right rear metatarsals, the second time requiring pin insertion. These injuries ended his racing career. Occasionally he limped, especially on a cold, damp day, but for the most part the injuries did not affect his mobility. We doubt his racing background had anything to do with his cancer since it was in his left front leg, but you never know. I hope more research can be done to help eliminate this dreadful disease.
